One word to describe Grant and his work? "Professional." From our first communication to waving goodbye as he drove away upon completing the job (within the time he said he would), Grant was professional. He is an excellent communicator, by email, text, and in person. He delivers quotes and invoices. He is punctual, reliable, and hard-working. And he's a really nice guy. Grant took a tricky, high-up place that I wasn't sure could be drywalled in. He said that he could do what I envisioned, explained how he would do it, and then did the light framing, insulating, drywall and finish painting for a great final product. He led the way but took input and questions throughout the process. It was a pleasure to have Grant work on our home. I hope to have him back to do more!
It was a fortuitous day when I met Grant! Once I learned he did plaster work I hired him immediately to do our fireplace – and my intuition was correct: he was The One for the job. I cannot recommend him highly enough: you can expect Grant to be friendly, courteous, punctual, passionate, fast (the whole job took only 3.5 days) and accurate in his estimate, to the dollar. Grant is an artist at heart and a true craftsman. He took my ideas and developed them 10-fold, creating a work of art in our living room that we will enjoy every day for years to come. He used a material called “tadelakt” which resulted in a smooth and sensual, yet textured finish, that is stunning to behold. In fact, the result is so mesmerizing that we can’t stop looking at it! We hired Grant for both Drywall and finishing plaster work for our substantial home renovation. While the reno as a whole was stressful, Grant made working with him stress free. Communication was prompt, and he got in touch when he needed input, but didn't over-communicate. His budgeting was incredibly accurate. Everything was completed within a reasonable timeframe and he came to the site when he said he would. Most importantly, the workmanship was outstanding.
